Dennis Brown was the TASC commander of the Black Lions Squadron. He was considered to be on the best pilots in the Army of the Southern Cross.

As far as pilots of the Army of the Southern Cross go, Dennis Brown was a survivor. He usually said what he believed in, even if it landed him into trouble from his superiors. He wasn't afraid of taking a bullet for his comrades, as evidenced when he was black-balled from a major military offensive after he took the blame for when Marie Crystal went on a bender. He is loyal to Chief-of-Staff Rolf Emerson, which has also gotten him and his squadron into conflict with Supreme Command. It was precisely because of Dennis' optimism and integrity that attracted the normally cold-hearted Nova Satori. Their relationship didn't prosper however, as the aftermath of the Second Robotech War necessitated they focus on Earth's defense and stability.
