Emmett meets the Oh sisters at their home when they finish class. He is against their plan to give Riley magic, but he gives in and suggests they have their mom watch a K-Drama to get her to cry. The following morning he and Mong, the Oh family's dog, keep watch as the sisters find the spell. He again expresses his concern, but the Oh sisters do not take him seriously. After the initiation, Hattie tells him a half truth about the spell not working and the elders wanting to exile either the entire Oh family or just Riley and leaving out the part about Riley being a Horangi. They tell Riley about their plan to summon Mago Hamli, the mother of all creation, and he agrees to help them out. They head to the Noh Dojang, where he meets Noah Noh, and Noah agrees to help them with the spell by giving them the Joseon Chalice and writes down the incantation, he tells them they need ashes of death and the elixir of life, blood from an initiated witch. After he agrees to donate his mother's ashes and Hattie donates her blood, despite Riley's protests, Noah tells them to go to a beach in Santa Monica, as the spell is most effective at high tide. After Noah activates the portal they head the Santa Monica after he gives them his dragon scooter Boris. When they arrive, he notices a lunar eclipse and Hattie mentions a solar eclipse earlier in New Zealand, which he says is impossible. He waits ashore as the Oh sisters go into the Pacific Ocean to perform the spell. However Hattie passes out and he helps pull her to shore. As he readies to call 911, they notice a woman they recognize as the Cave Bear Goddess, who agrees to heal Hattie if they find the Last Fallen Star. They agree and watch as the goddess takes Hattie and leaves her heart in a vile. He suggests calling her parents and Riley rejects, but agrees to after two days. When he mentions Griffin Observatory, she mentions one of her Saturday school classmates, Cosette Chung, is spending the night and they rush there on Boris. They run into Cosette and she refuses to let them in until she and Emmett realize they are on the same Battle Galactic team. After mentioning the fallen star she shows them a video of her sister reciting the legend at the temple talent show. After suggesting they head to the temple library, she uses magic to disguise him and Riley as her sister and herself respectively, much to his shock, and warns them the spell only lasts for an hour. They rush back to the temple as, as he is mesmerized by the sight, Riley drags him to the elevator, as they get in they are joined by Jennie Byun and David Kim as they head to David's initiation. He wishes them luck as the two exit and they head to the basement to find a massive laundromat. They find a statue of a Cheollimo and pets it. The statue suddenly comes to life threatens to kill them before saying it was joking and, after he offers it some cookies, he lets them in after they correctly answer one of three riddles and he offers the statue all his cookies before entering. They find themselves in a tropical greenhouse with their disguises gone and, after Riley smiles at her reflection, dozens of birds start to appear. When Riley touches one, it turns into a book and they realize the birds are the books. After Riley remembers what the chelloma said, they look for an owl. When they find one, it turns into a book about magic artifacts and find a letter about the elders finding the hidden seventh artifact and a list of five to a possible eighth artifact. As they wonder if the fallen star is the eighth artifact, a gas’s emerges and they pass out. Riley finds him passed out in the laundromat and tries to wake him up, hugging and kissing him when he does, much to his disgust. They try to put open a door when the haetae appears to Riley, with him not aware of it, as it shows her a video of his mother. When he opens the door, he drags her out of the temple and when they reach the streets, they notice Hattie's heart start to blacken. As they catch their breath, Riley tells him about her visions and what the guard told them before saying they need to track down the Horangi. At first he objects, but agrees so Riley wouldn't have to do it alone and they head to the Los Angeles Zoo. When they arrive, they find a food truck selling tea and Riley orders a certain kind advertised on a poster with clues to the Horangi. They head to the tiger exhibit and drink, only to be teleported to a mountain forest and encased in earthen hands. They pass out and wake up in a semi flooded basement tied to chairs with ropes of water with three Horangi. The woman, who is revealed to be Sora from the letter they found, demands they tell them their business and has one of the other Horangi, and man named Austin, fire small metal stars at Emmett at as a warning. Soon Riley reveals that they are their to save her sister and that she is a Horangi. Everyone is startled by the revelation with him not being able to look at Riley. when Taeyo releases him, he runs away and starts accusing everyone he sees of killing his mother. He is found in a stand off between a group of scholars by Sora, Riley, and Taeyo, Sora and Riley defuse the situation and he calls Riley a selfish liar. After Sora learns who his mother was, she reveals to him that Sookhee was corrupted by an artifact and was to far gone. As she was dying, she mentions a woman she thought was her friend forced her to do it. After learning this, he agrees to help for Hattie's, but does not forgive Riley. They spend the night in the dorms and are sent back to the zoo in the morning. After Riley discovers her sister's heart is almost half blackened, he realizes Boris is gone just as Taeyo arrives with an enlarged Boris, much to his joy. He explains how he has app that allows him to speak to gwisin, hungry ghosts who have not passed on. He is hesitant at first, but quickly agrees as he thinks it well bring him closure. After saying the hungry ghosts congregate at restaurants, he suggests Seoulful Tacos and they head out on Boris, with him driving, after Taeyo takes a selfie of the three. When they arrive at the restaurant, David Kim seats them and takes their orders. After David leaves Taeyo helps him create a profile to find his mom but they do not, much to his disappointment. After Taeyo activates his profile, they get better results and settle on helping an old woman deliver a message her granddaughter Jennifer, who Riley realizes is her bully from Saturday school. Just then David returns with their food and offers to take them to Jennie when they finish. They reach the Byun mansion as David convinces Jennie to let them in. Taeyo reads the message as they all get teary eyed. When the message is delivered, Jennie's grandmother appears and thanks them. When she asks if she can do anything for them, Riley asks if she can find his mom. She succeeds, but, to his distress, he learns his mom has become a vengeful ghost due to the guilt of a friend forcing her to steal the axe so that he could have magic. As the old woman passes on, he starts to forgive Riley as Jennie thanks them. Soon Riley announces she will initiate into the Horangi, much to the shock of him and the others. David stays with Jennie as he, Riley, and Taeyo return to the Campus to find it under attack from a Inmyeonjo, a bird woman who destroys mirrors. They find Sora and Austin as Riley tells them she is ready to initiate. Emmett pulls Riley aside and asks why she changed her mind. She tells him that she thought she would be abandoning the Gom if she initiated as a Horangi, but realized she would be sacrificing her adoptive clan as their motto entails. He gives her his ring and wishes her luck as Sora requests he come with her. After Riley tames the bird woman and joins the Horangi, she finds him talking with her adoptive parents and Okja. He fills them in just as Riley arrives and he goes with the Oh's, Okja, Sora, Austin, and Taeyo to a shed to talk privately. As the Ohs and the Horangi should accusations at each other, he glares at the Gom elder and accuses her of killing his mom when Riley accuses her of a cover up. Okra reveals her suspicions of the Samjogo elder, Bongjoon Pyo, is behind it due to his recent erratic behavior. The group forms an uneasy alliance and heads to Los Angeles. They arrive at Mr. Pyo's place of work and, after Taeyo hacks into his calendar to make an appointment for his relatives, they walk right in. They find him in a meeting and, when he sees them, runs as they give chase. They corner him in his car as Sora, Austin, and Taeyo subdue him. Riley asks why he framed the Horangi. Mr.Pyo tells them Sookhee Harrison was behind everything, much to his sadness, before he comes to the realization that she was possessed by the Cave Bear Goddess as part of a plan for her and her sisters to destroy the artifacts, which are actually pieces of the dark moon and dark sun, to erase their sin so that they can enter the Mortalrealm and do what they please with humanity. After realizing the Cave Bear Goddess can possess members of the Gom, Riley asks if they can sever the clan's ties to her. Although hesitant at first, Okja reveals a spell exists and the Ohs agree to it. Just then Areum arrives and says the Dokkaebi know where the artifact is. As they question where to even find a dokkaebi, Mr. Pyo says one lives in the forty-fourth room on the forty-forth floor of the temple. They leave the elder behind and, after stopping at the Tokki elder's house for a sleeping potion, they reach the temple and argue over who is going to make a deal with the dokkaebi. When they reach the room, the decide on the Ohs going in. He and the others enter the room and, as Riley had their memories of her erased to find the last fallen star, they do not recognize her and are surprised that she knows about their plan to sever the Gom from the Cave Bear Goddess. Six months after regaining his memories of Riley, Emmett joins the rest of the Gifted Community in Las Vegas. He is injected with a biochip, but struggles to use it, believing it is because he has a saram parent. When the sky open up, he joins the Ohs at a restaurant to discuss matters. When he arrives, they theorize this is the goddesses first move until Hattie calls with Yeomra the Great to inform them the mayor thinks that Riley’s traveling between realms is the cause of it. As Riley blames herself and the others reassure her she is not responsible, the mayor says that the Godrealm has started seeping into the Mortalrealm and will soon seep into the Spiritrealm. Hattie reveals she has been having a dream about a dragon emerging from the Trevi Fountain and thinks it is Yongwang, the leader of the underwater borough of the Spiritrealm who has been missing from centuries. After Hattie mentions she rises from the water, her parents interpret this as a sigh that her body will wake up. Dahl finds a replica of the fountain at Caesar’s Palace and suggests they go there. Riley texts everyone to head to Caesar's Palace, but only Taeyo meets the group at the fountain and he greets Dahl. As the teenagers inspector the fountain, James and Eunha looks up at the sky in a daze. When they snap out of it, they say they heard something but cannot remember what it is. As the boys theorize what it is, Riley becomes disoriented and falls into the fountain. He saves her as Taeyo keeps the water at bay. Riley and Emmett find red seaweed on themselves as Dahl says it is from the Tree of Fate, an underwater kelp forest in the Spiritrealm, and they realize the fabric of reality falling apart faster then they realized. Soon a man in a weeding cake costume hands them a flyer for two horses getting married named Charles and Maru. After looking at the flyer, Riley realizes that Charles is the Cheollima who guarded the temple library. After seeing a thumbprint, they realize it is a scale after comparing it to Boris. They realize the wedding has started and that is is inside the palace. They grab Riley’s parents and head inside. Upon reaching the wedding, they find saram and cheolima in and above the pews. Riley and him speak to Charles, but he does not recognize them as the two realize they were disgusted as Adeline and Cosette. The ceremony starts and the two join their companions. Taeyo and Dahl tear up as he watches stone faced and James and Eunha watch in a daze. After the wedding, Riley and Emmett explain the circumstances of their last encounter and Charles explains that he and Maru decided to get married quickly as Mago's Fire, the first fire in the universe and strongest energy source in existence, was stolen from Mount Baekdu. When Riley mentions Wongdang, Maru mentions one of her bridesmaids heard he was in the Strip after relocated to the Mortalrealm six thousand years ago, confusing Riley as she believed the dragon king left the Soiritrealm six hundred years ago. Maru also says he is rumored to be at a hotel with a canal running through it, making Riley think of Hattie’s dream. Soon Dahl calls over to tell them their parents are leaving and they go after them. After failing to stop James and Eunha, they notice other adults joining them and they follow them to the Venetian Hotel where Dahl realizes is what Maru was talking about. Dahl and Taeyo search the canals for evidence of Yongdang as Riley and him follow the adults into a wax museum. As they walk, Riley tell’s Emmett how she feels like a fraud and failure for failing to unlock her powers in time as Emmett says she is suffering from imposter syndrome and says everyone in the Gifted Community supports her. Soon Riley points out that most of the figures are of people of Korean heritage. They find an exhibit on Mago's Fire and believe the museum is from the Godrealm. As they watch the adults file through an exit. The two find themselves in an enormous cavern and the adults file up against the walls. Riley inspects her parents and finds them cold to the touch but still with heartbeats. After further investigation, the two find that all gifted adults in the city are in the cavern. Their friends text them that they saw their parents and other adults walk off in a trance and Riley sends a picture. Their friends say they are on their way as Riley realizes Dahl and Taeyo have not responded. She texts them and Dahl sends urgent texts and they go to help. They find Dahl and Taeyo in a gondola and on a bridge respectively safeguarding an egg as a flock of bonghwang dive bombing them. He and Riley go over to help them as a group of saram watch in amusement. Much to everyone's surprise, he uses his biochip to move the metal railing and fend off one of the bonghwang. However, one is about to attack him from behind and Riley takes the key of keys and stabs it in the stomach. Remembering that bonghwang are benevolent creatures, Riley starts to panic that she killed something that might have been being controlled. When Riley comes to, the other bonghwang are gone along with the saram. The boys say she did nothing wrong and tell her they would of done the same to defend her. Riley then calls Hattie and show her and the mayor the egg. The mayor says that Yongwang has a tendency to change into an egg to hide and rest. Hattie sends Nanjoon to the Mortalrealm to inspect it. The imugi licks the egg before laying on it. Soon the egg hatches and an injured woman appears. Everyone is confused until Hattie recognizes her as the Water Dragon Goddess. As everyone watches in disbelief, the Water Dragon Goddess says she took the form of Yongwang to get away from her sisters by using unguarded water routes that connected the three realms. She rakes out a fidget spinner and the group realizes it is Mago's Fire. As the goddess clutches her bleeding side, Riley gives her her sweater to apply pressure to the wound. The Water Dragon Goddess explains that she took the fire so that that her sisters would not use it to destroy the three realms and create one large realm in its place for them to govern. Dahl realizes that he and Riley are meant to use the fire to unlock their true potential. But before the spirit twins can take it, the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess arrives to claiming for herself and her remaining loyal sisters. Riley realizes she has seen the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess several times that day and that she used them to find the fire fire her. After Riley realizes the Nine-Tailed Fox Goddess was the bonghwang she stabbed, the enemy goddess grabs the fire and the key of keys before fleeing. As Dahl questions why the goddesses want the key of keys, the Oh sisters are distressed that they may never see each other face to face again. As Dahl questions the goddess, they realizes she is close to death. The Water Dragon Goddess asks to be brought to Hattie, Riley realizes what she means and, leaving the boys behind, goes to the motel on Areum. He returns the the wax museum to find it missing, but finds a flyer. When Hattie wakes up, she sends you a group text to meet up at the High Roller. Once there, everyone greets Hattie. Emmett, Dahl, Taeyo, Jennie, and Cosette happy welcome her back as Noah hugs her. As Phoebe and her friends shriek in excitement, Areum calls the meeting to order. As they discuss their next move, Emmett says he checked on the wax museum where the adults are to find it missing, indicating that the realms have not entirely merged. He takes out a flyer for a gathering the remaining goddesses have put on and Gus they pitched their idea for their Megarealm. As they pass around the flyer, they realize the event is over and the Oh sisters say they can track down Mago's Fire with a three-legged crow feather. After decided against taking a feather from the Three-Legged Crow Goddess, Areum says she knows a three-legged crow working for Persimmon, a tech company in the Godrealm. After questioning how they will enter the Godrealm, Taeyo reveals he used scales and fur from the goddesses to creat a program to track portals to the Godrealm, but says it is unstable and they could end up trapped in the Godrealm miles from their target. They are it is a risk they need to take and Taeyo lists three locations of portals- the Mob Museum, Eiffel Tower replica, and M&M's World- and Hattie forms teams. First, Dahl, Taeyo, and Emmett are assigned to the Mob Museum, Second, Noah, David, Cosette, and Jennie are assigned to the Eiffel Tower replica. Third, Riley and Areum are put with Hattie Togo to M&M's World. Lastly, Phoebe and her friends are tasked to keep an eye on things in the Mortalrealm. His group manages to reach Persimmon and meet with Areum's contact, Sahm. During their time at the company, Dahl manages to work the employees into an anti-Megarealm frenzy. After questioning where their friends are, Taeyo reworks his program to track humans in the Godrealm and they stay behind as Sahm gets them. Emmett is taken and bound and gagged before being placed on a mine cart track in the final round of the Megaralm prime minister tournament. When Riley sees him, she tries desperately to stop the cart and, at the coast of breaking her leg, succeeds with the help of Areum, Riley removes his gag and vows to keep him safe. At the end of the contest, he and Areum are teleported to the audience as Riley is brought before the goddesses. When, Riley’s cover is blown, he and Areum. Rush to help just as Dahl, Taeyo, Noah, Hattie, Namjoon, Sahm, and three bonghwangs appear to help and Emmett and Areum join in as well with Noah tossing him Boris. The goddesses try to shield themselves, but Hattie steals the fire as Sahm claws one of the Moon Rabbit Goddess's eyes. After Hattie heals Riley’s leg, the Three-Legged Crow Goddess grabs Dahl and demands the fire. Riley gives it to her but the goddess grabs her. Just then, Yeomra the Great arrives and tries to save both Riley and Dahl, but only succeeds in saving Riley. The goddesses retreat as everyone questions where they took Dahl. As Riley notices that Taggy has made a cocoon on her ear, Emmett pulls her aside and demands she not risk her life like that anymore. Riley says she cannot and, as she is halfway through confessing, Emmett kisses her as their friends watch. He gives Riley a bracelet made from the red seaweed from the Trevi Fountain and they go back to their friends hand in hand to find out where the ceremony is. As everyone thinks of ways to track Dahl, Riley looks at her soul twin’s phone and hears his voice. He tells her he thinks he is outside and smells of acacia. Riley relays this information to the others before Dahl backtracks and tells her not to come before ending their conversation. Using what Dahl said, they deduce that he is at Mount Baekdu and, as Riley looks at Dahl phone, she realizes he is at the Luxor Hotel. Sahm heads back to Persimmon as the others head back to Las Vegas. As they sore over the city, they see that the realms are close to merging and, as they reach their destination, find that the mountain and hotel have merged as well. They strategize before Riley lies that she knows how to activate her and Dahl's true potential. As they creep up on the goddesses, Riley heads a conversation she thinks is familiar and they strike. However the goddesses are unfazed and describe what they need to create the Megarealm as similar to driving a car, comparing the key to a car key and the fire to a car. Upon saying they need a special soul to power it, Riley realizes it is a trap and the goddesses merge the key and fire before throwing it to the mayor. As Yeomra charges at Riley, her Allie’s try to save her before Dahl shields her with his body and is stabbed in the chest. Dahl falls lifelessly to the ground as Taeyo begs him to be alright as Hattie desperately tries to heal him. He comforts Riley as Yeomra says it is hopeless and that Dahl's soul is in the key of keys. Riley soon realizes the mayor has been working for the goddesses for as long as she has known him. They mayor says he sided with them to maintain his grip on power in the Megarealm and Riley realizes the tournament was a sham. When the goddesses get impatient, the mayor stabs the blood soaked key in the Tree of Life and starts the merging as the tree bleeds and screams. The goddesses bind Riley’s companions in webbing as the Mountain Tiger Goddess pins Riley down and mocks her. Boris, who is resting against the side of the walkway, transforms into a dragon. He knocks the key out of the mayor’s hand and tries to attack the goddesses before getting stuck in the webbing. Riley threatens to kill Yeomra as the mayor calls her bluff. The ground swallows up him and Riley’s other companions. They are given mind controlling gummies, but David, Cosette, Jennie, and several moon rabbits arrives with a cure. As the goddesses are distracted, Riley destroys the key and gives a piece of Mago's Fire to everyone, including the goddesses, who revert to infant animals. As everyone takes in their victory, Emmett suggests the Yeomra be made a janitor as the mayor pleads for death instead. As everyone thinks of ways to separate the realms, Riley knows the only way is for her to become the new sun. The others try to talk Riley out of it, but she insists it is the only way.
