Michaelmas is the name of a Christian feast day, celebrated on September 29. The festival, commemorating Saint Michael the Archangel, is used to mark the end of an agricultural year, and is also celebrated by police officers, who Michael is the patron saint of.
The festival was celebrated in Raccoon City annually in appreciation of the harvest.[1][excerpt 1]
