It’s safe to say that 2020 has been a whirlwind for a number of obvious reasons. With the year coming to an end, Vevo has teamed up with Rated R&B to exclusively share the 10 most-watched R&B music videos in the U.S.
According to the company, genre-blending artist Doja Cat’s hit “Say So” was the most popular video with over 72 million views. The 3x multi-platinum single is also up for two Grammys, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Jordan Glickson, Vevo’s VP of music and talent, told Rated R&B, “We love putting out our charts at the end of year and seeing what videos our audiences have gone crazy for. Global superstar The Weeknd had a massive 2020, and our impressive LIFT artist Doja Cat broke through big with ‘Say So.’
He added, “There’s also a new crop of strong talent, led by our Artists To Watch 2021 participant Giveon, finding their way onto everyone’s radar and laying the groundwork to make a deeper impact in the upcoming year.”
