Gosoythoth, also called the Heart and Reaper of the Abyss, is a major antagonist in the 2020 open-world role-playing video game Genshin Impact, serving as the main antagonist of the Archon Quest Chapter V: Incandescent Ode of Resurrection.

It is an abyssal entity leading the invasion on Natlan that manifests after its minions extinguished the Sacred Flame. It seeks to engulf the entire nation of Natlan in corruption and is by far one of the most mostrous entities of the Abyss yet.

What Makes It Pure Evil?[]

• It led a war against Natlan for 500 years, causing death and suffering for its natives.
• Due to being a part of the Abyss, it likely had a part in the destruction of Khaenri'ah.
• Its actions forced Mavuika to sacrifice herself in order to keep its army and destruction at bay for until she is revived to aid against a prophesized destruction by its hand.
• It prevented Kachina from being revived by the Ode of Resurrection after she died during a Night Wars battle won by Natlan, causing her to nearly be forever lost in the Night Kingdom if not for her friends forming a rescue team to get her out.
• It sends an army of Abyss soldiers into Natlan when Mavuika finds five of the six heroes, with intent to kill all of Natlan.
• It had its soldiers snuff out the Sacred Flame so that it could manifest into Natlan and drop Abyss Tumors that summoned even more soldiers, nearly overwhelming the people of Natlan.
• Its actions result in the death of many, including Chasca's sister, Chuyhu, whose death almost caused Chasca to succumb to Abyssal corruption if the Traveler hadn't healed Chuychu enough for her to give Chasca some parting words.
• It takes on the form of the Pyro Sovereign and imitates the voices of past Pyro Archons in order to taunt and potentially break Mavuika and the Traveler in their fight against it.
• In its trounce battle, it mocks any Natlanese that fall to it.
• While being the Eldritch Entity of The Abyss, it possess a conscience that it's indeed sapient and will crush any hopes of people of Natlan like Mavuika by even mimicking the voices of the dead previous Pyro Archons.
