“ | Your son's death made the Order bow to me. Caesar, even. I had Rome. It gave me an empire of a thousand sons, each one greater than the last.. | „ |
~ Flavius, taunting Bayek over all the benefits he got from killing his son. |
Flavius Metellus is one of the overarching antagonists of Assassin's Creed series, being one of the two main antagonists in the 2017 game Assassins Creed Origins. He is an egotistical warlord that believes everyone should bow down to him as a god, and wants to start a war across Rome in order to satisfy his desire for power and control across Egypt, using the Apple of Eden to assist him with his goals.
He was voiced by Julian Casey.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Murdered his own family, just so he could satisfy his desire to be married into a wealthy family for the sake of power.
- Wanted to break into the vault in Siwa, just so he could gain the power of the ancient ones to satisfy his desire to become a godly warlord.
- When he and his group arrived at the vault in Siwa, he captured Bayek in order to interrogate him for information on the Apple of Eden and when Bayek knew nothing about it, he kicked him out of rage before being calmed by Pothinus.
- When Bayek is about to kill him with a knife, Flavius deflects the attack, and causes Bayek to kill his own son, Khemu, in the process, causing Bayek to feel great guilt over his son's death that would last for an entire year on his quest to get revenge on Flavius.
- Destroyed many villages, massacred many villagers, and drove many people insane with the Apple so they would all kill each other, due to sheer insanity inflicted by Flavius using the Apple on them.
- Wanted to start a war across Egypt, purely for the sake of having even more power, and forced people to worship him as a god with the war turning Rome into how Flavius would like it to be.
- Allowed thousands of children to be executed, and told Bayek to his face he doesn't care about children dying if it means he can obtain more power.
- Planned to kill his own superior, Julius Caesar, in order to make all of Rome bow down to him as a god, with him admitting he feels no remorse for this act.
- Told Bayek to his face that he doesn't feel remorse for killing Khemu, and even bragged about all the benefits he got because of killing him. He then proceeded to call him a coward because Bayek didn't have the guts to kill him.
