Tatsuma Sakamoto (坂本 辰馬, Sakamoto Tatsuma ) is the one of the main protagonists, heroes, the supporting characters, and used to be one of the supporting protagonists of the action comedy anime and manga series, Gintama. He was one of the samurai that fought alongside Gintoki in the Joui War.
Appearance[]
Tatsuma has a brown natural perm and wears a dark red coat, clogs without tabi, and round-rimmed sunglasses. He has a scar on his right hand, starting at his palm and running halfway down his lower arm. His weapon of choice used to be a sword, but now it's a gun.
Personality[]
Tatsuma's overly optimistic attitude can lead to all sorts of trouble, as he tends to brush off bad events and situations or ignore them completely. Most of the time I have a habit of laughing. One of Sakamoto's main traits is his empty-headed thinking. He can be very spacey, spending years together and being unaware that Mutsu is from the Yato tribe despite misunderstanding Dark Vader's plans to conquer Earth, etc., and often fail to notice important details. He has shown a great ability to give inspiring speeches and is also a great negotiator when needed, convincing the entire Renho race to turn on their leader. His good-natured personality could be a ruse, as he is prone and doesn't seem to know what he's done.
He values his friends and subordinates. When Chidori supposedly hurt Mutsu, he became furious, and when other soldiers berated him for being a coward, he returned to the war and stood up for Katsura. Feeling insecure around him, if they knew his deeper feelings for them, they wouldn't like him anymore. His business, such as the 50 million yen bag, is sometimes rough, and he has the nickname of "scammer". But deep down, I want to do business that makes people smile. More literally, his ultimate goal is peace for mutual benefit, reflecting his pacifist nature.
Although he is a pacifist, he does not mind getting into fights at times. He often aims to maim or disarm before aiming to kill. It tends to egg people. Tatsuma can be blunt and sometimes almost rude in certain situations, such as when he insults Nobunobu's behavior. You can get incredibly angry in a short amount of time, such as when you capture Chidori or when you demand that Chidori return Mutsu.
He loves ships, but is very susceptible to motion sickness. Whether he's a spaceship or a boat, ironically ships are his weakness.
