Rena Miyauchi is one of the main protagonists of Blue Reflection: Second Light. A girl who lives at school with Kokoro Utsubo and Yuki Kinjou. She has lost her memory like the other girls in the oasis.
Appearance[]
Rena has loosely curled light auburn hair and brown eyes. She is slender and tall, wearing an olive blazer, mustard yellow plaid skirt, striped socks, and brown penny loafers. She refuses to take off her jacket, even on a sunny day.
In her reflector form, Rena wears a yellow and blue plaid and satin dress. It features her bone motif and luminous cutaway. Her sleeves are full and voluminous as well. Her look can best be described as "elegant punk."
Rena carries a purple, blue, and black hula hoop that she can throw at enemies or use in close combat.
Personality[]
Rena is a fast learner, so she sometimes gets impatient when those around her need a little more time to catch up. She gets upset easily and can become irritated and shrill when there is a disagreement with her.
Rena says that beneath her bullish exterior, she is actually an insecure and kind girl who would move heaven and earth to save those who could win her affections.
Biography[]
Along with Kokoro, Ao Hoshizaki is one of the original students who entered Oasis High School. Rena and Ao develop a kind of teacher-student relationship. Although she doesn't seem to know what she did before coming to this world, she eventually goes from exploring Heartscape to Yuki, who is dying of Ash Syndrome through her research with an organization known as AASA. She tells Ao and the others that Ash is stealing life energy from the human body. Rena was in a romantic relationship with Yuki, who developed this incurable disease. Rena is devastated by this, but she promises that they will get through this together and that she will see the stars one day.
Out of her desperation and hopelessness, Yuki did not inform Rena when she would be transferred to a specialized facility suitable for her needs. Yuki thought she was cured when she magically arrived at the oasis without any symptoms, but in Yuki's Heartscape, Rena was unable to save her and she died in the real world.
Yuki and Rena accept their past and future and say goodbye after the final battle in the Heart of the World System.
