The Execution Division Apprentice is one of the antagonists and the major anti-heroine in Akudama Drive.
Appearance[]
The Apprentice wears a white military uniform with a skirt, black tights, red socks, and black boots. She has short black hair and red eyes. She also has an energy sword that she carries on her red belt.
In episode 6, she is shown to have lost her right eye and has a long scar running down her face. From that point on, she wears her black eyepatch to hide it.
In episode 11, her apprentice uniform changes to that of a more experienced executioner, with red shoulder pads and cuffs, and is worn with pants instead of her skirt.
Personality[]
The Apprentice is very serious and enthusiastic about her work, so her code name is "Full Effort." She is dedicated to defeating Akudama. She respects her superiors and wants to help them, and she seems excited whenever her master suggests they fight or try harder. That being said, if she needs to complete what she considers her own duty, she is ready to suggest going against her orders.
After her master's death, she became more gloomy and cold due to the injury in her eyes. She wants to work for herself, but her boss says it's due to her lust for death. Despite stating that she doesn't need a partner, she continues to respect Junior and insists that she doesn't have to worry about fighting because she wants to work on her own. Eventually, she reveals that she fears his death.
The Apprentice strongly believe that killing Akudama is her own pride, but in episode 10, despite her visible desire to take revenge on Swindler and Hoodlum, who is been threatened by their own comrades. Hesitate to kill the scammers and thugs who are the ones is to hurt her eye.
Powers & Abilities[]
The Apprentice fights with skilled martial arts and is as skilled in hand-to-hand combat as the Brawler. Her reflexes and senses are such that she can sense when someone is behind her or throwing something quickly and reacts accordingly. However, she still needs more training before she can reach the same level as her mentor, the Execution Division Master.
In episode 12, the Apprentice is the only executioner to escape being killed by the Courier. When he shot her, she was able to defend herself with an energy sword with incredible speed.
