Azuma Kamimura is one of the major characters in the movie, The Earth Defense Force and one of the two protagonists in Carla The Blood Lord. In Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena & Taimanin RPGX, she's one of the supporting protagonists.
She is an onmyoji who specializes in vampire hunters, the older sister of Taimanin, Maika Kamimura, and a friend and ally of the vampire Carla Cromwell.
Appearance[]
Azuma is a young woman with a curvaceous body, slightly tanned complexion, scarlet-orange hair and spiky ponytail, and purple irises in her eyes. She usually wears a black two-piece that exposes much of her upper body, along with a red jacket and gray jeans.
Personality[]
She has a rough and tomboyish personality and a foul mouth. She is usually easy to talk to and sometimes gives the impression of being a bit of a scoundrel since she drinks and smokes, but she cares about her students and is the first to rush when they are in danger.
Azuma loves drinking, eating, and smoking, but she lacks a bit of self-control. She would rather just live and joke, and she can't save money like Carla, the Vampire Queen.
She tends to fight Marika Krishna whenever she meets her, and she takes out her weapon in almost every encounter. This is most often done as a joke, as they almost always help each other if things get serious.
History[]
She is from the Kamimura family, a family of Taimanin that has long been famous as vampire hunters, but she did not manifest any Taimanin abilities herself, but gained them by obtaining spiritual energy.
In RPGX, it is stated that her Taimanin lifestyle, fighting style, and training were not appealing to Azuma, so she ran away from her home and clan and instead joined other groups fighting demons.
Azuma became a vampire hunter at Hayato Private Academy along with Carla Cromwell and Kitae Uehara. She is known as Japan's strongest human vampire hunter, and she works as a teacher at the academy. She was later added to the target list due to Carla helping her uncle Gram, believing that Carla had killed him.
Depending on her route, she can be ignored, but this leads to her later trap, where she is killed after the other women are enslaved, and her severed head appears at Hayato Private Academy. Alternatively, she gets infected by Gram's bug, which slowly mentally destroys her into his loyal slave and erases her memory of her sexual encounters. Asuma also ingests Gram's blood and she too becomes poisoned. She later helps him capture other women, and all the heroines become his faithful slave toys.
Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena[]
Azuma once again becomes a teacher at the private Hayato Academy and escorts Carla as she talks about Asagi Igawa and Edwin Black.
Her younger sister, Maika Kamimura of the Kamimura clan, is also introduced, which means that Azuma either acts as a rogue Taimanin or never became a Taimanin. In other words, she never became aware of ninja techniques or the control of exorcism particles. She can however fight using other spiritual energies. Her younger sister shares many of her features, but her skin has a cuter side to her underneath her tough behavior.
Taimanin RPGX[]
Azuma works as a teacher at Gogyo Academy, and her spiritual powers are described as being an onmyoji.
She is stated to be an expert in Onmyoji as a vampire hunter, and she tends to move around frequently. She is a physical education teacher, but it is unknown whether she also teaches at Hayato Private Academy.
She is sent by Sanki Kibino to investigate the disappearance of her friend Azusa Kiichi. Azuma knows several Taimanins, including Rinko Akiyama, which may suggest that she has a deeper connection with Maika Kamimura, her sister in that timeline.
Power & Abilities[]
Main Weapon: Metal bat “Onikiri” or “Super Onikiri”
- Keen Spiritual Sense: Can sense abnormalities, demonic or otherwise.
- Enhanced Strength: Her pure physical ability is superhuman, and is said to rival even Murasaki Yatsu.
- Spiritual Control: She can charge her own body and her weapons with spiritual energy. Similar to exorcism particles, spiritual energy is effective against demons.
- Weapons Expert: Her weapons killed thousands of vampires, and he charged them with rune magic. Her weapons are shape-shifting in RPGX thanks to futuristic technology and magic.
