In a reversal of fortunes, Leonardo is accused of smuggling opium. Thanks to the quick-thinking Chulin, he is saved when his cargo is inspected and found not to contain any opium. Leonardo leaves for Spain together with Gabriel. He leaves Chulin in charge of his plantation. In the 6 months he is away, she shows that she is quite capable of managing his business successfully. Nestor returns to try and kidnap Gabriel, who tries to kill him. Leonardo returns and makes an important decision about his life with Chulin and the series ends with a climatic scene at the Casa Mariposa. See less
