This film was inspired by the poetic observations of Pier Paolo Pasolini as a young man and the hard working, self sustaining farming roots of my father's family in the rural village of San Giovanni di Casarsa. A farmwife is called to help in a birth, a boy dressed as a monk is entrusted to take the family cow to the traditional animal blessings, and a young aetheist poet goes for a walk looking for inspiration...Shot on location with much generous help from the local community.
