Those trips bring her closer to Ali and a connection happens between them. Ahlam learns that her dad is in prison for theft. Meanwhile, Merritt's fame is gone and she finds all her friends are avoiding her. Ahlam finds it is impossible to find a better life in this environment. Ahlam visits her dad in prison and asks his advice. Merritt offers to help Ahlam obtaining a visa to Europe and buy her a plane ticket. Merritt has the money and the connection, all she wants from Ahlam is to pull the plug from Nabil's life supporting machine in the hospital.
