Sometime earlier, Billy had sent Jim Gorman to jail for theft, causing Jim's girl, Minette Christie, to leave town. She reappears at a fashion show, modeling an ermine wrap trimmed with rhinestones. After Peggy persuades Billy to buy the wrap for her, he realizes that she is only interested in his money and breaks the engagement. Jim is released from jail and follows Minette to New York City with plans to kill her, believing she is responsible for his incarceration. Billy defeats Jim in a fight and saves Minette from being gassed to death in her apartment. He then comes to realize that Minette is the girl for him. Written by AFI See less
