Tanaka Yuta (田中裕太,Tanaka Yūta)? is a director and storyboard artist formerly affiliated with Toei Animation.
He started work on the Pretty Cure franchise as an assistant director for the penultimate episode of Yes! Pretty Cure 5. He continued as an assistant episode director for the next few series, but also took on the role of main episode director during Fresh Pretty Cure! and was fully promoted starting with Suite Pretty Cure♪. Since joining the franchise, he has worked on almost all of the series in some form, with his largest contribution being the series director for Go! Princess Pretty Cure. As of January 2024, he has resigned from Toei Animation with All Stars F as his final project[1].
He is known for his spatially complex action scenes and including visual gags in his storyboards.
