Fusion (フュージョン Fyūjon)^? is the main antagonist of the Pretty Cure All Stars movies, Pretty Cure All Stars DX and Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage.

Fusion is the process of combining two or more entities into one.

History

Pretty Cure All Stars DX

Main article: Pretty Cure All Stars DX: Minna Tomodachi - Kiseki no Zen'in Daishuugou!

Fusion made his first real appearance in this movie, demanding the need for power. He split himself into four parts, and attacked the Pretty Cures. When the Fresh! Cure drove off one of the parts, it reappeared in the Palmier Kingdom, driving off the other Mascots there and attempting to absorb Chiffon. However, the power of the Miracle Lights ended up destroying the piece. The other three pieces encountered the other three Pretty Cure teams, absorbing their strongest attacks before uniting into a stronger form (which the Fresh! team encountered first). He attempted to absorb them before the power of their unity freed them, though they believed that the other Pretty Cures did so.

The tide was turned when Chiffon reappeared, holding one of the Miracle Lights. The other gathered Mascots, in turn, used the Miracle Lights to empower the gathered Pretty Cure, allowing them to destroy Fusion.

Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage

Main article: Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage: Mirai no Tomodachi

Fusion was to return as the main villain of Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage: Mirai no Tomodachi. After the story of the previous movie, a piece of Fusion survived the battle and was left as a mascot-like character, known as Fuu-chan in this story. After meeting Sakagami Ayumi and becoming her friend, he wished to help her by resetting the world, and became his full self again. Yokohama's Minato Mirai is once again thrown into darkness.

Abilities

As his name suggests, he is a fusion of the vanquished Zakenna, Uzaina, Kowaina, and Hoshina. He has the ability to absorb power and make it into his own.

Trivia

As the first DX movie aired during the early stages of Fresh Pretty Cure!, Labyrinth's Nakewameke were not amongst the monsters he could conjure.
Fusion is the first crossover-exclusive villain and also the first crossover-exclusive villain to reform.
A beast that resembles Fusion appears in Pretty Cure All Stars: GoGo Dream Live, though without the Hoshina component.
Fusion shares several similarities with Noise from Suite Pretty Cure♪: They both have an alternate form (Fuu-chan & P-chan) and get along well with a Cure (Ako & Ayumi) before destroying the Cure's precious things (although unintentionally in Fuu-chan's case as he was just trying to help Ayumi).
He shares his voice actor with Misumi Takashi from Futari wa Pretty Cure and its sequel, Scorp from Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!, and Oresky from Happiness Charge Pretty Cure!.
