Needs Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

The Oceanic Museum is a location introduced in Generation III.

Description[]

The Oceanic Museum is a two-story building and a museum with sea-related artifacts, such as a model of the S.S. Anne and Royal Unova ORAS on the second floor. The player has to go to the Oceanic Museum to deliver the Devon Parts to Captain Stern. The player must have at least Poké Dollar50 to enter the museum, because the receptionist denies them entry otherwise while also believing them to be associated with the Team Magma Grunts ROR or Team Aqua Grunts SEAS who had entered.

On the first floor, the player encounters the same grunt as the one in Petalburg Woods and Rusturf Tunnel. He does not battle the player, but when the player talks to the grunt, he gives them TM046 (Thief) and then leaves the Oceanic Museum.

The second floor is where Captain Stern is located, although the player has to first defeat either two Team Magma Grunts ROR or two Team Aqua Grunts SEAS before they can give the Devon Parts to Captain Stern. No other events occur in the Oceanic Museum, but the grunt who gives the TM046 stays in the Oceanic Museum if the player has not taken the item, even after the other two leave.

The Oceanic Museum in "The Spheal of Approval!"

The Oceanic Museum appears in "The Spheal of Approval!", but the events are different than in the core series. Ash and Max want to visit the Oceanic Museum, but when they arrive, the museum is shown to be closed, despite usually being open to visitors every day. Max is determined to visit the Oceanic Museum, so he tries to climb up the wall of the museum. However, Max is caught by Marius, the self-proclaimed museum guard, who believes that Max and Ash are burglars looking to rob the museum. Shortly afterward, Ash and Max meet Captain Stern, who is studying a rock originating from the sea floor. Team Magma tries to steal the rock, but soon fight Ash and Captain Stern for it. The rock breaks apart, and Team Magma escapes from the Oceanic Museum with it. However, Captain Stern is fortunately able to continue his research using a remnant of the rock that had been left behind.
