Kanto[]

Lance went on his Aerodactyl to Vermilion City for a mission.^[1]

Lance was with his Pokémon, including Aerodactyl, as he swore to take his revenge on Yellow for his defeat.^[2] It was also present by its master, who awaited the coming of their enemies on Cerise Island with Agatha and Lorelei.^[3]

Aerodactyl appeared with his trainer in front of Yellow and Blaine. Aerodactyl used Hyper Beam when Blaine was trying to approach Lance but the attack was blocked by Mewtwo. The cave started to collapse and Lance used his Aerodactyl to fly around. Aerodactyl used Supersonic to confuse Mewtwo but Mewtwo blocked the attack with Barrier.^[4]

Aerodactyl continued with using Supersonic while Mewtwo continued to block the attack with Barrier. Lance then switched his Aerodactyl out for his two Dragonair when he started to get angry. Yellow and Blaine were trying to escape with Mewtwo when Lance used Aerodactyl again and Aerodactyl started to attack Mewtwo with Wing Attack.^[5]

After Mewtwo's attack to destroy Lance's Poké Balls failed, Lance showed all his Pokémon, including Aerodactyl, to Yellow. Lance's Pokémon then faced Yellow's Pokémon.^[6] Lance healed the wounds of Aerodactyl by using his ability he possessed.^[7]

After Lance obtained Giovanni's Earth Badge, he went on Aerodactyl to approach closer to the mysterious bird Pokémon. However, once more, he was intercepted by Yellow.^[8] Lance had Aerodactyl attack Pika, who used Rage and Bide to retaliate. With the powers of Red's Saur, Blue's Charizard and Green's Blasty, Pika executed Megavolt, which defeated Lance and Aerodactyl.^[9]

Johto[]

With the Masked Man's defeat, Lance flew off on Aerodactyl in an unknown direction.^[10]
