Brock is a character appearing in The Electric Tale of Pikachu, who is the Gym Leader of the Pewter City Gym in the Kanto region.

Brock was challenged by Ash for the Boulder Badge, and was defeated by him.[1] Brock came to Saffron City's Gym, met his old friend Sabrina, and witnessed her battle against Ash. He arrived at the hospital when Sabrina got injured by Dream Eater off Haunter, and decided to search for Haunter and capture it to release Sabrina's soul. He sent his Pokémon out to battle against Haunter alongside Ash's Pokémon but they were quickly taken out by Haunter's Dream Eater. Later, he witnessed Haunter self-destruct itself, refusing to admit defeat, and consoled a weeping Sabrina.[2]
