Most recently in 2022, One Piece author Eiichiro Oda designed personas for the band's four anonymous members.[1]

Oda's Designs[]

On May 14, 2022, GReeeeN and Oda revealed four original personas for the band's next tour, GReeeeN and the Mysterious Great Escape, based on each member[1]:

One Piece Collaborations[]

Tokyo One Piece Tower[]

For One Piece Live Attraction: Phantom, GReeeeN contributed two theme songs to the show: 4 ever Dawn!!!!! (4 ever ドーン!!!!!, 4 ever Dōn!!!!!?) and PHANTOM ~Promise~ (PHANTOM~約束~, Fantomu ~yakusoku~?). The band's colors influenced Oda's design of the show-original character Ann. The show and an accompanying special exhibition began on April 22, 2017.

This collaboration was the focus of Season 1 of the One Piece 20th Anniversary Log Gallery, with the theme of "Friends." It showcased original reproductions of famous One Piece scenes, as well as a selection of scenes chosen by GReeeeN with their own comments, titled GReeeeNIsland. 4 ever Dawn!!!!! played throughout the exhibit, and a special handwritten lyrics card was featured exclusively in the exhibit.[2] Luffy x GReeeeN promotional products were also released, including posters, notebooks, lanyards, and clear files.[3]

In Volume 333, Oda and GReeeeN discussed the show and their collaboration in a column section. This exchange included a recounting of the first time the author and musicians met and the inspirations behind the theme songs and Ann's design.[4]

Trivia[]

  • Because GReeeeN's album featuring 4 ever Dawn!!!!! and PHANTOM ~Promise~ is called “Roots of D,” a fan asked Oda if the band would be inheriting the Will of D. Oda joked that Hide, who wrote the songs, apparently knew what the “D” stood for.[7]
