Short Summary[]
As the Straw Hat Pirates check out the library, they encounter a giant owl to whom Lilith realizes has a Devil Fruit power. Luffy and Usopp are disappointed while playing with the children, as the giant children are no longer being trained to fight. Luffy is attacked by Colon, and they learn he is a half-giant. As the Straw Hats separate, the two strangers attack some guards and demand Loki's location. Luffy's group then have a toast of sake cups in honor for everything the Straw Hats did for the giants in the past. Jarul then appears and Luffy is surprised by the sword stuck in his helmet.
Long Summary[]
As Chopper and Bonney try reading one of the giant-sized books, Saul states that the owl overseeing the library is named Biblo, who is responsible for gigantifying any book that enters his domain. Lilith concludes that Biblo is able to do this with the power of the Iku Iku no Mi. Chopper expresses hope that there are medical books in the library, and Saul says there are. However, since they are native to Elbaph, they will stay giant-sized.
Meanwhile, Luffy sends one of the Sun World's swings extremely high into the air, frightening two giant children and Usopp riding on it with him. Nami beats up Luffy for scaring the children, who run to Gerd for comfort; Sanji is miffed seeing one of them give a lecherous look while pressed to Gerd's chest. Luffy expresses his disappointment in Elbaph's more peaceful culture to Usopp. While he agrees, Usopp says it is not a bad thing. Right then, however, Colon appears and swings his wooden sword at Luffy, which snaps in two upon striking his head. Luffy responds by leaping in the air and throwing an Elephant Gun punch into the ground in front of Colon. Usopp tries to calm Luffy down as the other giant children react in horror, but Luffy is impressed that not everyone on Elbaph is spineless while Colon is excited to have seen Luffy display his strength, jeering at his contemporaries while they do the same to him, referring to him as a delinquent and brute. Ripley then arrives to scold Colon, who is her son, for attacking Luffy, but also commends his first strike. Colon hands his mother the basket that Mato had him bring for her, and he tells the Straw Hats that his father is a human and former pirate.
Luffy's group goes to the Owl Library, and Robin says she will remain there for a while longer to talk with Saul during the feast. Lilith and Bonney also eschew the start of the feast to get their resident permits, and Franky decides to spend time studying the Treasure Tree Adam. Before everyone disperses, Gerd gives Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbe Elbaph-style clothes to wear, and she and the crew sans Robin and Franky set off for the village.
At the Aurust Castle near the Western Village, a duo of giant guards confronts the mysterious hooded duo. The one with the messy light hair and bandages over their nose and mouth inquires about Loki's location. The guards refuse to tell them due to Loki's criminal status, and the hooded figure fires a round of rapid projectiles similar to bandages which causes one of the giants to keel over in burning pain. The hooded figure then states that they are ordering, not asking, the giants to divulge where Loki is.
At the Western Village, the Straw Hats arrive and the giants all immediately make a toast to them for helping many of their number and for defeating Kaidou and Big Mom. Luffy recognizes Stansen, who reminds him that they met in the Human Auctioning House on the Sabaody Archipelago; Stansen had promised to one day repay Luffy for freeing him from slavery. The elder Jarul, who is the oldest giant in the world at 408 years of age, arrives to the feast on a svarr. Luffy points out to Jarul that there is a sword lodged in his head; Jarul replies that his helmet stopped it, but it is noted that the sword is very close to cutting all the way through.
