Battle for Dream Island Again Do-Over, otherwise known as BFDIADO, is a fanfic that redid BFDIA. It was the closest thing that the current author, Richmountain112, found to a continuation of BFDIA. It is obviously non-canon because IDFB is the official continuation, and BFDIA 6 is different from BFDIADO 6. You can read it right now on Archive of our Own (All) FanFiction.net (1-8) or the PAW Patrol Fanon Wiki (9-11): [1] [2]

Episodes 12-14 are here, and an Ao3 port was proposed by Richmountain112, and is pending Xebla's approval, and has been posted anyways despite no response from Xebla. Later she replied and was fine with it. Episodes 14 to the Finale will be on Ao3.

Overview[]

This season involves 26 (originally 22) contestants, 21 objects, 1 scribbled face (Yellow Face), 2 cats (Formerly, Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost), 1 Davidian (in this case, it’s Dora), and 1 Koopa (Larry) that were (mostly) chosen by Viewers, as seen in the canon BFDIA. The 4 that were not chosen by them were Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw, who joined later, Bubble, who was not an official contestant (but competed anyways, leading to her elimination in BFDIADO 5(e)), and Larry, who also joined out of nowhere. 12 of them are veterans from Battle For Dream Island, and 13 newbies.

Most of the stuff from BFDIA returns here, but switching teams is now mandatory, with at least 1 Contestant doing it per episode. As of Episode 6, the TLC is replaced with the TROLL.

  • Nickel (28th) - 892 votes (disqualified because he was on Inanimate Insanity.) Replaced with Black Hole but debuts anyways in BFDIADO 16.
  • Spongy (30th) - 456 votes (Disqualified because he got 5th place in Battle For Dream Island.) Replaced with TV.
  • Firey* — Had Pen not recommended him to be host, Firey would've been sent to the TLC. As a contestant, he was replaced with Pen.

  • Blizzard: Replaced with Brambleclaw, some of his lines are filled in by Hawkfrost.
  • Tundra: Replaced with Mothwing.
  • Damian Stone: Scrapped as part of a promise Richmountain112 made with Musicalmutt2. Psychopathic killer that kills for the pleasure of it, and refuses to allow the contestants to use the HPRC. Dead-last in the viewer’s voting in "Yeah, Who? I wanna Know!". Replaced with Brokenstar, who is similar in personality.
  • Brambleclaw: Replaced with Teardrop's rejoin.
  • Larry Koopa — Everything past episode 9 is being redone, but he does cameo in BFDIADO 13 inside Gelatin's Yoyle Shades where he poorly disguised himself and only BBQ Sauce noticed him.
  • Hawkfrost: Appears with Yellow Face in some of his commercials (Including his interrupted one in "Get Digging"). It is unknown how he was recovered since Richmountain112's version depicts him with Yellow Face after Golf Ball interrupted their commercial. Joins in "No Moar Snow!" Is currently a recurring extra.

  • Firey (29th) (Disqualified from competing because he would’ve won Dream Island, but didn’t, and ended up hosting BFDIADO) — 1, 5-13, 15-TBA
  • Firey Speaker Box: Firey's personal Speaker Box, created by him back in the first season and brought back as a replacement for the Puffball Speaker Box — 6-15
  • Pile of YoyleBerries: Firey covered in YoyleBerries. Don't ask how they haven't been burned yet.
  • Puffball Speaker Box (Puffball got it as a prize, but Firey blew it up with Bomby) — 2-4
  • The Bugs: Unknowingly summoned by Golf Ball while he used FSB's phone in an attempt to get another cohost. Also used as part of the challenge to poison other contestants.
  • Brokenstar: Leader of ShadowClan during Into the Wild, and went into the Place of No Stars after he died. Killed 6 kits and Raggedstar while alive plus 3 more cats while dead, and during his time in BFDIADO, would have killed everyone in the TROLL, the HPRC, and lots of Recommended Characters. Also a sadistic, power-hungry narcissistic leader. Dead-last in the viewer’s voting in "Yeah, Who? I wanna Know!".

Recurring Non-Contestants[]

  • Evil Leafy (32nd as contestant) — A recurring antagonistic force that was rejected, and escaped the TLC by teleporting out.
  • Nick Le (31st in voting) — Appears anytime Nickel would appear, and also when Viewers misspell their votes, with the “Lurne Hou too Cspel” gag.
  • Leafy — Appears thrice, uneplainably recovered between “The Long-Lost Yoyle City” and “Ready, Set, KNOW!” to mend her relationship with Pin, but was still made of Yoyle Metal in said episode.
  • Bracelety (72nd) — Proposed to have appeared out of nowhere in several episodes, usually to compliment Ice Cube. Implied to have written the fortunes in BFDIADO 9.
  • Mothwing (73rd) — Derailed from being in the Tiny Loser Chamber for 6 episodes total and pretty much complains about Hawkfrost being promoted to the show despite being made clear that Pin killed the Puffball Speaker Box.
  • Flower: Made an appearance in “Insectophobe’s Nightmare 3” and joined in "All Fenced In!"
  • Diamond: Ruby's eldest brother and CEO, founder, and president of Diamond Mines, which owns a mine in YoyleLand used for the challenge in BFDIADO 10. Would use the same asset as used in ABCDEFG should it become animated.
  • Hawkfrost
  • Yoyle Beast: That big, grey, object eating coyote is referred to in this fanfic by the term "Yoyle Beast".
  • Announcer: Breifly cameos several times, might appear later. On ILuvGemz's version, he becomes cohost.

Trivia[]

  • This is one of the many fanfics that are spread across multiple sites that have no connection to each other.
    • However, that changed when the entire story is ported to Ao3, which is currently happening as this was typed. The only episodes with recaps will be the ones after the excessively violent and/or dark episodes.
  • BFDIADO was one of the few BFDI fanfics that had a recap at the beginning of each episode. It no longer has this on AO3.
  • The sentence that’s formed from the first-spoken word of the first episode, second-spoken word of the second episode, all the way to the last episode, makes no sense whatsoever, but the Ao3 version (somewhat) fixes this.
  • The challenge of BFDIADO 10 was considered to be replaced by what happens in the canonical BFDIA 7 but that was rejected due to said challenge being to build a new loser chamber.
  • It is somewhat implied that the Great Battle of the Warriors Series takes place in Mid-BFDIADO and the Fox Trap scene in Sunset took place during Late BFDI, so it is unknown how Hawkfrost was recovered, but it is most likely accidental.
  • It used to have one of the highest Object-to-non-Object ratios with 21 objects to 4 non-objects (Dora, Yellow Face, Blizzard, and Larry).
    • This may not seem impressive because BFB has 4-6 (David, Dora, Roboty, Yellow Face, and (debatably) Robot Flower and Black Hole), it also has a whopping 64 (later 65 total with Profily) contestants, massively lowering the ratio.

Intro Changes[]

These are here because Richmountain112 can put them. This is highly subjective because no such details were shown on the intro.

  • “Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know!“ — “Get Digging!”: The 22 contestants in the green zone are now on the intro card, the Grass is a very dark shade of green (almost grey), and Dream Island was removed.
  • ”Insectophobe’s Nightmare 3”: Bubble is added to the intro, and the amount of contestants changes from 22 to 23.
  • ”Zeeky Boogy Doog” — “Battle For Nothing!?” replaces the series logo, Pin, Coiny, Needle, Yellow Face, and Pen are angry, Bubble was added to the intro (despite being a “Battle For Nothing” Intro), and Evil Leafies can be seen on the edge of the screen.
  • “Get in the Van!“: The Intro reverts back to the one seen in “Insectophobe’s Nightmare 3”, and the Evil Leafies were removed.
  • "No More Snow" — "It's A Monster!": Changes to the Evil Forest.
  • “Turn on the Lights!” — "The Great Yoyle City Shake-Off": The intro is now in YoyleLand, the grass is now purple, and Yoyle City is now where Dream Island would’ve been, along with a rising sun above the water.
  • "It Smells Meaty!" - "Intruder Alert": The Eiffel Tower is now part of Yoyle City. In addition, a single small UFO (Similar to the one in BFDI 20 and 25) from the IDFB Intro is seen hovering above Yoyle Mountain.
  • "Insectophobe’s Nightmare 4": The Eiffel Tower has been removed as it has been dissolved in acidic lava in the previous episode. A big bug can also be found on top of one of the buildings of Yoyle City.
  • "It's PlayTime!" - TBA: The big bug is removed as they've all been killed earlier in the episode.

References to BFB and Canon BFDIA[]

  • Tennis Ball glues Golf Ball to a tree in BFDIADO 10 like how Fries did in BFDIA 7.
  • Book mentions that someone could be "hiding in a jawbreaker" in the future after discussing about Flower during the challenge of BFDIADO 12 (AO3 version).
  • Bomby gets kidnapped by Yellow Face in BFDIADO 12 in the exact same manner as in BFDIA 7.
  • The Recommended Characters in the 4th batch in BFDIADO 15 are the exact same as the last batch in BFDIA 12. Yellow Face is explicitly mentioned to be part of it in the Recommended Character section of the Author's Notes (but with sunglasses like in BFDIA 12).

Other References[]

  • (Likely unintended) The Yoyle City Power Plant has a self-destruct button akin to the ones on Dr Doofenshmirtz's inventions but has more devastating effects.
  • Firey mentions that Tennis Ball was executed in an alternate universe, referring to ILuvGemz's continuation of BFDIADO.
  • BBQ Sauce mentions Larry Koopa after seeing him and says "Domini Fraudentes", a reference to a completely different Mario fanfic with the same title on Fanfiction.net.
  • BFDIADO 16 is inspired by Poppy PlayTime.
