Sweet Sleuth is a 4-Player and Duel minigame in Mario Party DS. The name is a pun on the term "sweet tooth", which describes a person that is fond of sweets.
It is set inside a candy store, where there are gumball machines to the left and jars of candy to the right. On the Touch Screen, a plate full of various candies are shown.
Gameplay[]
The player must give the Shy Guy the candy they want as shown in a bubble. To do so, the players must rummage through the plate to find the candy that the Shy Guy wants, but they must be careful, as the candies all have similar packaging but different sizes and shapes. There will be more pieces of candy on the plate as the minigame progresses.
If the player gives the Shy Guy the correct piece of candy, it will jump and the player receives a point. If the Shy Guy is given the wrong candy, it will shake its head and the player must try again.
In the Duel version of this minigame, there are only two types of candy packaging.
