Sweet Scent (あまいかおり, Sweet Scent) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in the second generation. In the second generation, it was TM12.

This move could be used outside battle until the seventh generation. When used, it would cause a wild Pokémon to appear and start a battle. In the fourth and fifth generations, it could only work when the weather was clear. In the sixth generation, the move would trigger a horde encounter if one was possible on the route or location used.
