Shadowverse: Champion's Battle is a card battle adventure game by CyGames released for the Nintendo Switch. The game is similar to contemporary digital card games like Hearthstone. Unlike the mobile game, the game is based on the plot of the anime where the player goes to a school for the card game.
Gameplay[]
The game is played between two characters, each with 20 hitpoints. A match ends when a player has lost all their hitpoints or goes through their deck. Players gets to play cards with a total value of the number of play points they have in the current turn with the play points increasing each turn. The cards come in two main varieties, spells and followers. Spells perform an effect for the turn, but do not take up a space on the field. Followers can attack the opposing followers or the player but, they cannot attack on the turn they are summoned unless they have the special ability or are evolved. Each player can use one of 8 archetypes for their deck and only cards that are their archetype or common can be used in their deck.
