Marathon Man is a character in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. He is an unstoppable force when he is sprinting across Hyrule - he's so fast that even Link can't catch up to him unless he's equipped with a Bunny Hood. Once he does catch up to him, Link can sell him the item.
Meanwhile, as an adult, Link will never be able to catch up to him. He'll even challenge the player to a race, though no matter what you won't beat him. Nevertheless your best time will be recorded, among many other things, in Link's house in Kokiri Forest.
A similar character has appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - the Postman who is always on the run. In Super Mario Sunshine, the runner named Il Piantissimo actually has a similar face of the Marathon Man under his mask.
