Gale Isle (quadrant D1) is one of the 49 islands on the Great Sea. The Wind Temple is located on the island. The island gets its name because of the strong winds emanating from a statue blocking the entrance to the cave where the Wind Temple's secondary entrance is found.
To enter the cave, Link needs to collect the Iron Boots from Ice Ring Isle to prevent himself from being blown backwards by the wind, then use the Skull Hammer to destroy the statue, thus cutting off the wind. He can then enter the cave and learn the Wind God's Aria, after which the ghost of the former Wind Temple sage, Fado, appears, and instructs Link to find the individual who has the same instrument he possesses, a leafy violin. A piece of the Triforce of Courage can be found northeast of the island using the Triforce Chart acquired in the Private Oasis (E5) once Tingle has deciphered it.
