Trivia[]

  • All fully evolved First partner Pokémon introduced prior to the Fifth Pokémon generation can learn Earthquake by TM26. From Generation V onwards, the fully evolved Fire-type first partner Pokémon from odd-numbered generations and the fully evolved Grass-type first partner Pokémon from even-numbered generations can learn it.
  • After the 2004 Chūetsu earthquakes, a scheduled episode that would feature a Whiscash using Earthquake was banned in Japan. As a result, Earthquake, and the similar moves Fissure and Magnitude, have not been seen or used in the anime since.
