Comatose(JP) is a Pokémon Ability introduced in the seventh generation.
Description[]
The ability holder acts as if it were asleep without actually having the status condition; It can still use moves, including using Sleep Talk and Snore successfully. It cannot receive any non-volatile status conditions or grow drowsy from Yawn. The Pokémon will take double damage from Hex and Wake-Up Slap, and is susceptible to Dream Eater and Nightmare. Rest will fail if used by the Pokémon.
Comatose isn't affected by Uproar or other effects that prevent sleep, like Electric Terrain and Sweet Veil. It is not suppressed by Mold Breaker, Teravolt or Turboblaze. It cannot be replaced by Skill Swap or Entrainment, copied by Role Play or Trace, or suppressed by Gastro Acid.
If a Pokémon already has a status condition and gains Comatose (from Transform or Imposter), its status condition won't be healed.
