Cheep-Chomps are giant purple Cheep-Cheeps that will try to eat the player. They appear in New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Unless the player has in possession a Starman, the Cheep Chomp will KO its opponent if it manages to gobble them up. However, they can be easily dodged or defeated with a Fireball in hand. When defeated with a Fireball, they drop three 1-Up Mushrooms.
