Ayane Sakura (born January 29, 1994) is a Japanese voice actress for anime and video game characters. In Nintendo, Sakura is most notable for Misty in Pokémon Masters EX and Orla in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. Sakura was formerly part of I'm Enterprise and is currently affiliated with Aoni Production.
Sakura is notable outside Nintendo as Natsumi Koshigaya in Non Non Biyori, Secre Swallowtail in Black Clover, Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia, Yae Sakura in Honkai Impact 3rd, Yae Miko in Genshin Impact, Iori in Blue Archive, Iroha Isshiki in My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, Cocoa Hoto in Is the Order a Rabbit?, Ran Mitake in BanG Dream!, Yotsuba Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets, Prinz Eugen in Azur Lane, various characters in Kantai Collection, and Nao Tomori in Charlotte.
Biography[]
Sakura was born in Ebisu, Shibuya. She had a desire in becoming an actress and decided to enroll in a theater acting school, during her junior high school years. At school, she studied Japanese dancing, stretching, sword fighting, voice training and acting, although she initially continued to pursue acting, after performing on stage, she realized that she "was different" and decided that acting was no longer a suitable career for her. At this point, she decided to become a voice actress.
Sakura made her voice acting debut in 2010. In 2018, she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 12th Seiyuu Awards. On January 31, 2022, Sakura announced that she has left her talent agency I'm Enterprise. The following day, Aoni Production announced that she has joined their agency.
