Ancient Power (げんしのちから, Primeval Power) is a damage-dealing Rock-type move introduced in the second generation.

It has a 10% chance to raise the user's Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed by one stage each. In Generation III, it made contact but, every generation after that, it didn't make contact with the opponent.

To evolve the Pokémon, Tangela, Yanma and Piloswine into Tangrowth, Yanmega and Mamoswine respectively, they needed to level up with the move Ancient Power as one of their moves.
