Chamille is the current Elemental Master of Form and was a competitor in Master Chen's Tournament of Elements. Chamille competes against Lloyd in the Thunderblade round, a game where Elemental Masters can choose whom to side with. The Ninja side with Lloyd while everyone else stands with Chamille. Though the Ninja win, Chen attempts to disqualify Lloyd, but is forced to declare Chamille the loser. Her element is stolen, and she is forced to work in Chen's noodle factory. Eventually, Chamille joins the Elemental Masters to reclaim their elements, after which they fight Chen's army of fake Anacondrai in a climactic battle at the Corridor of Elders - where Garmadon sacrifices himself to vanquish Chen's army.
Months later, Nadakhan imprisons Chamille and the other Elemental Masters in his Djinn Blade, though these events are erased after Jay makes his final wish.
For many years, Chamille isn't involved in the Ninjas' adventures. According to Karlof during the Fall of Ninjago, Chamille is now a "bad girl", though this is never explored. Sometime after, she accompanies Skylor in search of Skylor's mother. Years later, Chamille participates in the Tournament of the Sources, and encounters the Ninja for the first time since Chen's tournament. During the event, she loses to Sora, and later allies with the Elemental Masters to battle and defeat the Wolf Mask Warriors.
History[]
Background[]
Chamille was born as the descendant of the Elemental Master of Form. At some point, she unlocked her True Potential.[1] Eventually she received an invitation to Master Chen's Tournament of Elements
Tournament of Elements[]
The Invitation[]
Chamille was one of the Masters who boarded Chen's ferry to the Tournament of Elements.
Only One Can Remain[]
Chamille was present as Chen explained how the Tournament worked. She was later escorted to her suite by the Kabuki, and then obtained a Jadeblade in the competition.
Versus[]
Chamille was seen watching the three Tournament fights in the background with other Elemental Masters.
Ninja Roll[]
Chamille was seen watching the next fight between Skylor and Jacob. As Kai stepped on her foot trying to sit with the other ninja and Garmadon, along with Cole and Jay's teamwork causing everyone to sleep in the dining room together, she and the others were left aggravated.
Later, Chamille was among the Masters who roller-skated in the Thunderblade game, playing as one of the main competitors against Lloyd with everyone except Jay and Kai siding with her. The two fought continuously to win the game, with Lloyd using a Jungle Raider, until he gained the upper hand and won. Despite Chen's insistence, he was forced to eliminate her to ward off suspicion.
Spy for a Spy[]
Stripped of her powers, Chamille was seen working in the noodle factory. She, along with a few other workers, cheered for Cole when he was trying to escape.
Spellbound[]
After the factory was put on lockdown, Chamille and the other imprisoned masters gather around Zane as Cole explained their plan to use the sewer pipes to escape, though the plan was foiled thanks to the arrival of Dareth.
After they decided to build a Roto Jet to blast their way out, Chamille searched the factory for usable parts.
The Forgotten Element[]
She and the other Elemental Masters began working on the Roto Jet, as more eliminated fighters come aiding them in getting it ready. Much later, they finished working on the Jet, using it to break through the swarms of guards and Clouse's serpent and disrupt Chen's spell.
They battle the Anacondrai warriors before Kai destroys Chen's staff, returning the elements to their respective Master and allowing them to overpower the Anacondrai warriors. This forces Chen and a select few henchmen to escape. With Chen in hiding, the Elemental Masters seized control of the island while awaiting Master Chen's next move.
The Day of the Dragon[]
She stood guard over the warriors until they became Anacondrai and forced them to retreat to the palace. She was blasted at by Chen in the Roto Jet as he and his followers escaped to invade Ninjago.
As all seemed lost, Chamille and the others found hope when Zane and Kai arrived on Elemental Dragons after facing their fear. Inspired by this, she unlocked her Elemental Dragon and started the journey back to Ninjago.
The Greatest Fear of All[]
With her dragon, Chamille flew back to Ninjago with the other Masters only to find Chen hasn't attacked yet.
She then pursues a noodle truck possibly holding several impostor Anacondrai only to find them empty. Like many others, she loses control of her Dragon out of fear after being tricked by Chen into scattering all across Ninjago.
The Corridor of Elders[]
She regroups with the other Elemental Masters at the Samurai X Cave, where they decide to make their final stand in the Corridor of Elders. She participates in the final battle against the Anacondrai warriors, managing to take down a few of the fake Anacondrai before witnessing them being cursed and banished to the Cursed Realm.
She is later seen with the other masters celebrating their victory while making amends with the ninja promising to help them in any future conflicts.
Skybound[]
At some point, Nadakhan attacked Chamille and succeeding in absorbing her soul into the Djinn Blade.[2]
Hunted[]
Despite the Elemental Masters' promise to help the ninja in the future should the need ever arise, at some point after the tournament, Chamille presumably chose to pursue a life as a villain. Having become a "bad girl" according to Karlof, Chamille, unlike most of the Elemental Masters, did not join the Resistance.[3]
Amber Spiral[]
At some point after the Second Serpentine War, Chamille established a hideout for herself in the basement of Yang Tavern, where she kept crates loaded with stolen goods. After the Liberation of Ninjago, Skylor contacted Chamille for her assistance in a quest the former had decided to undertake regarding recurring dreams she had been experiencing. Using her expertise, Chamille was able to quickly locate the village from Skylor's dreams: a small village near Haunted Hill that allegedly was home to the best potstickers in Ninjago. Upon discovering the latter fact, Chamille jokingly asked if that was the real reason Skylor wanted to visit the village, suggesting that Skylor perceived the village's potstickers to be potential competition with Chen's Noodle House's Puffy Potsticker.
When the women arrived at the village at sundown, they discovered that the Red Star Carnival was in town. While Skylor went around and asked the locals for information, Chamille used her powers to mess with a magician and humiliate him by shapeshifting to resemble him before running on-stage to accuse him of being an imposter. As the Carnival began to close down at nightfall, Chamille regrouped with Skylor and suggested that they ask some of the performers after the latter expressed she was unable to find any information from the locals. When they arrived at the trailer of Egon the Extraordinary, the magician, still furious at Chamille's earlier antics, used his wand to hurl all the pieces of furniture in his trailer at them, though both women easily avoided his fervent attack.
The next morning, Egon brought Chamille and Skylor to the tomb from the latter's dreams as promised. Upon reaching the entrance to the tomb, Skylor ordered her allies to stay behind and stand guard while she descended alone into the tomb. Although she did not express it outright, Skylor specifically asked for Chamille to stay behind to prevent her from stealing anything within the tomb. However, after Skylor failed to return for some time, Chamille and Egon descended into the tomb in search for her, with both calling out Skylor's name. After finding Skylor's unconscious body however, Chamille's temptations got the best of her and she chose to leave her allies behind in favor of stealing several artifacts, leaving Egon alone to tend to Skylor while Chamille fled.
Before The Sword Shatters[]
Chamille went to the City of Temples to take part in the Tournament of the Sources.
Dragons Rising, Season 2[]
The Sword Shatters[]
Sora defeated Chamille in a battle and got her elemental power.
The Final Game[]
Chamille watched in surprise when Wyldfyre arrived with Zur to expose Bleckt after Nokt defeated Sora.
Elements of Betrayal[]
Chamille can be seen cowering in the stands while the other Elemental Masters begin fighting against Cinder and the Wolf Mask Warriors in hand-to-hand combat. she later got her powers back when Roby drained Nokt of the stolen elemental powers and defeated the Wolf Clan
In the Tournament app[]
Chamille is a playable character in LEGO Ninjago: Tournament. She can be purchased for 300,000 studs. Her special move is Chameleon, allowing her to briefly change form into Clouse.
Appearance[]
In her debut appearance, Chamille has fluffy purple hair, along with a no-sleeved outfit consisting of various straps and torso plates.
In the web serial Amber Spiral, Chamille's appearance consists of parts from various sets, as her minifigure wasn't yet released. She notably sports pink hair instead of her traditional purple, as well as printed short sleeves instead of no sleeves. This design never appears in the show.
Chamille's newest appearance, debuting in season two of Dragons Rising, is heavily based off her original look. She retains her short sleeves, gloves, and torso straps and plates, with the addition of kneepads and expanded torso and leg printing.
Relationships[]
Allies[]
Enemies[]
- Anacondrai Cultists (deceased)
- Nadakhan (in an alternate timeline)
- Wolf warriors
- Cinder
LEGO.com description[]
Chamille is a real chameleon with the ability to change her physical appearance. She can either be a friend or a foe, depending on her whim. She changes her allegiance as easily as she changes face. So be careful about who you tell your weakness to, because it might not be who you think it is.[4]
Appearances[]
Etymology[]
Her name is a pun on "Chameleon", a reptile that can change its colors to blend in to its surroundings, just as Chamille can shapeshift to change her appearance.
Trivia[]
- Chamille was the last Elemental Master from the Tournament of Elements to receive a physical minifigure, with it releasing in 71799 Ninjago City Markets, over 8 years after her television debut.
- Michael Knap stated that he would like to include her in a set. He also joked that she could be any Minifigure due to her shapeshifting abilities.[5]
- She was meant to appear in the 71735 Tournament of Elements set but was left out due to production issues.[6]
- Chamille, alongside Tox are the first females Elemental Masters to appear in the show.
- Her design is very similar to Ramona Flowers from the Scott Pilgrim series.
- In LEGO Ninjago: Tournament, Chamille can temporarily disguise as Clouse as her special ability.
- Chamille may be Tommy Andreasen's favorite Elemental Master (presumably not including the ninja).[7]
- Chamille is an unlockable character in The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame. Her blind bag can be found in the level "Ninjago City Downtown."
- In the game, she has the 'Stealth' ability; she can transform into a Pufferfish Goon.
- She is also one of the two current Elemental Masters not to appear in LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin, the other being Bolobo.
- Her name is spelled as "Chamille" (with an H) on the website,[8] in World of Ninjago: Official Guide, and in Breakout!. However, it is spelled "Camille" (without an H) in The Book of Spinjitzu, at one point in Breakout! and in Tommy Andreasen's character bio (see below). "Camille" is a more common spelling of the name in real life, but "Chamille" more closely matches the word her name is based on.
- In "How to Build a Dragon," it is revealed by Karlof that Chamille has possibly become a villain, with him saying "She is 'bad girl' now."
- Because Chamille's Element allows her to shapeshift, her absence in Season 9 was probably decided upon by the show creators for practical reasons (to explore Mystake's shapeshifting abilities instead).
- In "Saving Faith," Skylor was later a "prisoner" of Mystake (who was masquerading as Harumi) and was tasked with copying Lord Garmadon's Element. This would have been much easier if Chamille (or anyone else) was the shackled prisoner, and Skylor was the shapeshifter, as it would have allowed Skylor free range to touch Garmadon.
- Because Chamille's Element allows her to shapeshift, her absence in Season 9 was probably decided upon by the show creators for practical reasons (to explore Mystake's shapeshifting abilities instead).
- Tommy Andreasen released a character bio he wrote for her that he had written in 2014 which goes more in-depth on her mysterious tendencies, though it is not canon.[9]
- In 2021, Andreasen stated that he has other plans for Chamille.[10]
- This was later revealed to be Amber Spiral, a story released on LEGO.com in 2022.
- In 2021, Andreasen stated that he has other plans for Chamille.[10]
- She uses various design elements from Collectible Minifigures characters.
- She has the same hairpiece as the Rocker Girl from Series 7.
- Her torso print is based on the Warrior Woman from Series 10, with different colors and added details.
- Her belt is a simplified version of the Bandit's from Series 6.
- Because she didn’t have an official minifigure at the time, Chamille in images for Amber Spiral is comprised of various minifigure parts from other LEGO themes:
- The Rocker Girl's hair from Minifigures Series 7.
- The Swamp Crook's face from City.
- The Grandmother torso from the City set, 60234 People Pack - Fun Fair.
- The Gardener's dual-molded arms from Minifigures Series 19.
- The Red Panda Dancer's legs from Vidiyo.
- Tommy Andreasen implied that his TV show counterpart who appeared in Crystalized was Chamille in disguise.[11]
