Instructor, I've finally found what's important. She was right. It didn't matter if I had any talent. That wasn't the end goal. But... I don't mind who I am now. Sure, because of my power, I've done terrible things. But because of my power, I was able to bring everyone back. When you think of it that way, it isn't so bad. If you want to make a miracle happen, you can, right?

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • He befriended Chiaki, playing Gala Omega with her.
  • When he asked Chiaki if she had no talent in gaming, and always lost when it comes to games, she would come to dislike it. She replied that there are much more important things than talent, such as making good memories with friends, he was impressed by her resolve.
  • He tried to stop Sato from punching Natsumi, putting himself in harm’s way.
  • He asked Natsumi to stop intimidating either Mahiru or Sato.
  • He comforted Natsumi by saying that there's something more important than talent itself. He said that she can stay by her brother's side and keep making memories with him.
  • He mourned Natsumi's death.
  • He wanted to learn about the truth behind the deaths of Sato and Natsumi, by asking Mahiru directly.
  • While he willingly signed up for the Hope Cultivation Plan, he couldn't have known that he would become Izuru Kamukura, as Hope's Peak purposefully didn't tell him it would wipe his memory and change his personality for the worse, so this isn't corrupting.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair[]

  • In general, he solved every class trial, saving his surviving classmates from being executed by Monokuma.
  • He helped the Ultimate Imposter take away dangerous items in order to avoid a murder.
  • He tried to calm Mikan down after she was shaken up by the Imposter's death.
  • He tried to calm Mahiru, who blamed the Ultimate Imposter's death on herself.
  • He helped Gundham retrieve his lost earring.
  • He pointed out to Fuyuhiko on though he said on how he was willing to kill all of his classmates for his own survival, he was now hesitating on when Peko was about to be executed by Monokuma.
  • He accepted Hiyoko's shrine to Mahiru as a kind gesture.
  • He and the rest of the group forgave Fuyuhiko, despite the rude attitude he has been giving to all of them.
  • He was shocked by Nagito being killed in a cruel way, despite him having a horrible attitude towards him before.
  • With the help of Chiaki, he learned that he doesn't need a talent in order to be special, and he foiled Alter Ego Junko's plans and defeated her, initiating the Force Shutdown with his remaining classmates.
  • He chose to stay on Jabberwock Island to awaken his comatose classmates, acknowledging his past and choosing to live on as Hajime Hinata.

Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Future Arc/Hope Arc[]

  • After Nagito awakened, he forgave him for everything he did and informed him that everyone was awake and fine.
  • With the rest of his classmates, he convinced Ryota to not brainwash the world with hope.
  • He persuaded Ryota to join him and his classmates, so they can atone for everything that happened.
  • He nodded gratefully at Makoto in respect, which he returned.
  • He and the rest of his classmates shouldered blame for what they have been doing to relieve the Future Foundation of any wrongdoing.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • He refused to feed Nagito when he was unable to eat due to his hands being tied up. While this is understandable with how untrustworthy Nagito was and how he indirectly caused the Ultimate Impostor and Teruteru's deaths, it's too harsh for PG to put him at risk of starvation.
