Doctor Hess is one of the main antagonists of Supernatural Season 12 (alongside Lucifer).

She is the strict leader of the British Men of Letters who wants to kill all of the American hunters. She demands loyalty and obedience from men of letter kids and will go as far to make them fight with knifes so they abide by her rules.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

• She called Mick and Timothy (who were children) into her office and forced one of them to stab their friend with a knife to prove who was more obedient and loyal.
• While it might seem like it was on only occasion, it is stated that multiple other children had to go through the same thing as Mick. and she would encourage other kids that killing people who didn't have their ideals was okay.
• Ordered Mick to kill all American hunters and their families.
• When Mick stopped obeying her and wanted to go over to the Winchesters' side, she ordered Arthur Ketch to kill him.
• Coordinates the attack on American hunters.
• Brainwashed Mary Winchester into trying to kill her own sons.
• She is directly responsible for Sam Winchester being tortured for hours.
• She didn't care about her people and was ready to kill them for the slightest mistake.
• When confronted with Sam Winchester, she called him a bastard and was going to shoot him.
• While she does kill monsters such as vampires, demons and sometimes angels. there is no proof that she does this to keep people safe, and the way she acts basically negates this notion.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

• She ultimately fails the heinous standards to the multiple beings in the series that want to start the apocalypse. While beings like God and the Shadow have far more resources, the British Men of Letters were shown capable of creating technology that could defeat Lucifer, showing they had comparable resources to beings such as Archangels or those below them. This causes Hess to fail to several villains in the series due to her high resources, particular Dick Roman, who wanted to turn all of humanity into cattle for the Leviathans to feed on.
