Maneuver A.C.S (マニューバＡＣＳ Manyūba Ei Shī Esu) is a mana-charged assault first introduced in The Gears of Destiny.

Originally possessed by Nanoha Takamachi, this attack is presumably developed based on the high-speed driving function of Raising Heart Exelion's Accelerate Charge System (see also Exelion Buster A.C.S and A.C.S Driver).

Hayate Yagami has also learned this attack from Nanoha. By covering mana over the whole body, Hayate thrusts against the opponent with Schwertkreuz.^[1] However, it is not known whether Schwertkreuz has functionally added the Accelerate Charge System.

Name[]

The spell is presumably named after Nanoha's flight technique and the Accelerate Charge System. In the movie continuity, however, the spell name suffix "A.C.S" is an abbreviation of "Acceleration Charge Strike" (re Exelion Buster A.C.S) instead of Accelerate Charge System. Therefore the proper full name of this spell may also be rendered as "Maneuver Acceleration Charge Strike".

Notable uses[]

• Maneuver A.C.S is one of Hayate's charged long-range moves in The Gears of Destiny to perform a far-to-close assault. She will enter the cross range after using this attack.
• In The Gears of Destiny, Nanoha can also use this attack in the cross range, when she successfully blocks an incoming attack under Full Drive condition.

Possible uses of the spell are noted as follows:

• In The MOVIE 1st, Nanoha is seen casting a similar unnamed attack against the Jewel Seed "cat monster".

Variations[]

Maneuver S.S.A, used by Nanoha in StrikerS THE COMICS special chapter, is probably a variation of this base spell by attacking like a shooting star from the higher sky.
