Kilbeggan (Anime)
Kilbeggan using a hood

Kilbeggan is a Lizardman; humanoid creature with a reptilian appearance. He has yellow-ish skin and two heads: the right one has a dragon-like appearance, a horn on the right side and wears an eyepatch on the left eye; the left one is round with turtle-ish features, and wears an eyepatch on his right eye. Kilbeggan also wears a breastplate and torn pants.

Kilbeggan is often seen donning a brown hood that conceals his entire body, except for his hands and feet.

Personality[]

Despite his monstrous appearance, Kilbeggan is generally polite and cool-headed, even while being confronted by an enemy. Like most of the Holy Knight of Camelot, Kilbeggan is deeply devoted to Arthur and his goal of wiping out the four clans who have tormented humans with war. He is also very cunning, taking advantage of Mertyl's sorrow so as to use him to obtain the Drug of Yore.

Kilbeggan shown undying loyalty to Arthur's goal and his creator Worreldane, when he sacrificed his own life to seal King's magic power.

History[]

In the past, Kilbeggan, being a two-headed Lizardman from a race created by a wizard, spent his life alone, due to the fear and rejection of everyone around him. One day he met Arthur Pendragon, who would gave him a home in Camelot, in exchange for him working for Arthur.

Plot[]

Percival arc[]

Kilbeggan appears leading a meeting of all the Holy Knights of Camelot where the magician communicates the latest details about the prophecy of the Four Knights of Apocalypse, as well as the appearance of the four, reminding everyone that they must eliminate them as soon as possible.

Fairy Realm arc[]

Kilbeggan appears in the old Fairy King's Forest where he meets Mertyl. The magician wonders if he is human since the fairy-poisoning incense he was releasing does not affect him.

Upon asking his identity and revealing himself to be a servant of Arthur Pendragon, Kilbeggan says that they should unite as humans against the other races, but Mertyl declines, declaring himself the eldest son of Diane and King of the Seven Deadly Sins. When Mertyl asks him the reason for his presence there, Sixtus suddenly arrives, reading in Kilbeggan's mind that he is after the Drug of Yore. Kilbeggan wonders why the incense does not affect Sixtus, questioning whether he is a fairy due to his lack of wings. Sixtus reveals that his Hummingbird technique blocks the smoke of his incense from reaching him. Kilbeggan then attacks Sixtus with his Buster Ice spell, but Sixtus overcomes him with his Spirit Sword Magliastira, forcing the mage to retreat.

Later, Kilbeggan senses the fury of Mertyl, and he goes to where he is, offering to join him in exchange for giving him a little power, Mertyl distrustfully rejects the offer, but Kilbeggan removes his hood revealing his appearance, explaining what they have in common since they both were rejected by their people. The magician explains to Mertyl that Arthur is looking for the Drug of Yore, an elixir that cures any illness, and to do so they need to enter the realm of the Fairies, to which Mertyl accepts the deal and Kilbeggan brings his hand to him to shake it and give it power.

Kilbeggan and his minions hid in Mertyl's shadow as he went to the Fairy Realm and came into conflict with his family because of the curse Kilbeggan placed on him. However, King is able to detect the hidden sorcerers and warns them that he will make them pay for breaking in and messing with his son. Kilbeggan then flees the scene as a distraction while his subordinates go after the Drug of Yore. King pursues him and although Kilbeggan tries to confront him with his magic, King easily overcomes him with a mere use of his Spirit Spear Chastiefol. After barely resisting the blow of King's Form Four: Sunflower with a quadruple magical barrier, Kilbeggan tells King that Mertyl will not be able to free himself from his curse until he sees his most fervent wish come true, which is impossible, since his wish is to be the legitimate son of a fairy and a giant. Thus, only the Drug of Yore could bring Mertyl back.

When King is distracted by Sixtus's waning magic, Kilbeggan lunges at him but King pierces him with a sword from Form Five: Increase, saying that Kilbeggan would have survived if he had accepted his defeat. However, Kilbeggan declares that is worthy by getting close enough and draws all his blood on King saying that his true goal of helping his creator was fulfilled as his curse sealed the power of a enemy as powerful as him. As Kilbeggan falls dead, his Rakumei Enpaku-ju seals away King's magic power.

However, when Percival returns, he reveals that he saved Kilbeggan's life just before he died completely, which in turn breaks the curse on King.
