William Plant is a former production supervisor at Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Plant began his animatronic film career on the non-Henson Return to Oz and subsequently served as animatronic coordinator on The Witches. Promoted to project supervisor, Plant worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and The Flintstones, as well as the Creature Shop ghosts in The Muppet Christmas Carol. He became head of production at the Creature Shop, overseeing Babe, and The Neverending Story III, before turning over the slot to long-term creative supervisor John Stephenson.

Plant left Henson to form his own visual effects company, the Production Plant, which worked on such films as Rush Hour, Blade, and Dungeons & Dragons.
