A "Big Coloring Book" was released for The Muppet Christmas Carol in 1993 by Golden Books with illustrations by Nate Butler.

The cover features a colored illustration of Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim Cratchit. The interiors consist of scenes from the movie and include (in order of appearance) Gonzo as Charles Dickens, Rizzo the Rat, Ebenezer Scrooge, Scrooge's rat bookkeepers, Fred, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, Bean Bunny, penguins, Statler and Waldorf as Jacob and Robert Marley, The Ghost of Christmas Past, Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig, The Swedish Chef, Singing Food, Animal, Belle, The Ghost of Christmas Present, Dr. Julius Strangepork, Clara, Betina and Belinda Cratchit, Peter Cratchit, The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, and the pig businessmen.
