Whatnot Workshop[]
What's the source for Dave Goelz performing the Newsman for The Muppet Whatnot Workshop videos? Muppets.com has been posting the the FAO Whatnot videos online and the Muppet News Flash bit uses Steve Whitmire's voice. According to people who have been to the in-store experiance these are the same videos. So where did Goelz's name come from? -- Brad D. (talk) 21:41, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Disney xd Newsman videos?[]
Hi all, new here. I read in the MuppetWiki entry on "Muppet Newsflash" sketches that a few new ones have been produced for Disney Channel's xd, but in searching the Disney site overall and the Muppet Channel in particular, I was only able to find the sketch with chicken hailstones/Whatnot announcement in it. Does anyone know if the others are archived anywhere? I'd love to see all of them.

Newsman had a date?[]
Just rewatched some of Season Two of the Muppet Show, and noticed in ep# 208 with Steve Martin that the Newsman is in the back of the theatre a few times while acts (especially Martin) are onstage for the show's auditions. At first the Newsman is alone, listening in to the others' comments, but at one point he is joined by a Whatnot who looks like a blonde version of Wanda. The two of them seem to be doing a lot of snuggling and canoodling there in the back rows! What? A love life for our beleaguered reporter??? --newsmanfan
