Sheriff Shane Shrimp appeared in a "Spaceship Surprise" segment on Sesame Street. The crustacean sheriff represents the law on Planet Sh.

The puppet appeared as a generic shrimp at the end of a sketch with Guy Smiley hosting a reunion dinner for things beginning with "SH." He said, "I don't want to be shell-fish."

The puppet later appeared in Don't Forget to Watch the Movie, performed by Joey Mazzarino.
