Richard Gere (b. 1949) is an actor who gained prominence after starring in 1980's American Gigolo, becoming a sought after Hollywood leading man and frequent magazine cover model. Later films include Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Primal Fear, Dr. T & the Women, Chicago, and The Hoax.
