The "Pile Appreciation Day Song" is a Sesame Street song performed in Episode 2264.
When Gordon and Luis observe several small piles of trash and garbage strewn all over Sesame Street, Oscar explains that it's part of the Grouch holiday "Pile Appreciation Day." Grouches show off the various collections they've accumulated by littering the street with them. The holiday is started off in song, sung by Oscar, Grundgetta, and Smudgey. They sing of their own individual piles: Smudgey's newspapers, Oscar's cans and pans, and Grundgetta's mix of dirt and bread. During the chorus, the Grouches celebrate by tossing cans of torn paper at each other, creating an even bigger mess.
