Jason Weber is currently the Creative Supervisor at the New York unit of Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
Weber began freelancing with the Jim Henson Company in 1985 as a fabric dyer and painter before officially joining the staff in 1996. He has been responsible for all puppets, clothing, or anything else that needs color or texture, in addition to designing characters and costumes such as the outfit for Super Grover 2.0.[1]
He is in charge of the Sesame Street Muppets, overseeing all domestic and international Sesame productions and publicity. He has shared ten Emmy Awards for his work on Sesame Street.
On July 4, 2013, Weber appeared on "The Art of Movement," a CNN segment hosted by Nick Glass, demonstrating the puppet building process. Eric Jacobson took over teaching the aspect of puppetry to Glass.
Weber has also worked design jobs with the Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
