The Gruenaks were a race of Thra during the Age of Division.

All of the Gruenaks were killed by the Skeksis, except for two Gruenaks who survived and were sold to SkekSil, who provided them to assist SkekTek in repairing the essence-draining machine.

Following their attempt to escape, SkekTek killed both of them, the first by hurtling it down the Castle shaft into the fire at the bottom and the second one by bludgeoning it to death.

The remains of the second Gruenak were combined with a dead Arathim to make the Garthim.
