Pferd tells him that he is scared of the black thing he saw; it seems so weird. Wolle asks Pferd to describe it for him, but all Pferd can say is that it's black. He did not get a good look at it; he ran away as soon as he saw it. Wolle tells him to go back and take a good look at it.

Pferd describes the thing to Wolle, but Wolle has no idea what it is so he decides to go check himself. As soon as Wolle gets over there, he sees the black thing and gets scared and runs back to Pferd. The thing Wolle saw does not entirely fit Pferd's description; it had big ears and a little mouth.

Wolle gets an idea: they will both go over there and together they won't have anything to fear, because the weird looking black thing will be outnumbered. On the way over there, Pferd realizes that Wolle might also be afried of it. But Wolle denies it and says that he will come along so Pferd doesn't have to go there alone. Pferd thinks it's good to have such a brave friend.
