SCENE 2 Luis tries to get to Hooper's Store to place a phone call to his brother, but meets Sam the Robot on the way. Sam claims he has a telephone apparatus, and Luis can use it (despite the OUT OF ORDER sign on it). Sam freaks out while Luis makes his call, rattling, exhausting a blast of smoke, and spilling spare change; he claims that Luis has dialed the wrong number. Luis insists it was right, but tries again anyway, eliciting the same result and getting more change. Luis, annoyed by Sam's arrogance, cools down and realizes something - he was going to call his brother about borrowing five bucks, but with all the change Sam has spilled, he won't need to.

SCENE 3 Oscar reacts to the last segment, wishing he could blow like the wind. He imagines having such a power, blowing away trees, mailboxes, and his pesky neighbors. Back in reality Oscar gives it a try, but Gordon, Susan, and Bob spoil his fantasy by pointing out the helpful aspects of wind. Since wind can blow seeds around to transplant flowers, cool people off in hot weather, and help kids fly their kites, Oscar wants no part of it.
