	SCENE 1	Mr. Hooper and Jay discuss painting when Big Bird alerts Mr. Hooper that he has a big package waiting for him at the store. Mr. Hooper takes out the contents, piece by piece, and has Big Bird guess what it is: an adjustable stool to replace an old one from his store. He lets Big Bird put it together as he goes back to talk with Jay.

	SCENE 1 cont'd	Big Bird has put the adjustable stool together, only it's very low to the ground as it suits his tall height. Mr. Hooper role plays as a customer to point out that the low stool won't work for the other customers. Big Bird tells him to take a walk and let him fix it again.

	SCENE 1 cont'd	When Mr. Hooper comes back, he sees that Big Bird has now adjusted the stool to be way too tall... and Jay is seated on top! Big Bird decides to adjust the stool again, suggesting that Mr. Hooper can leave for a while to look at manhole covers.

	SCENE 1 cont'd	Mr. Hooper hears a crash, and rushes back to the store, fearing the worst. Big Bird laments that he broke the stool because it won't adjust anymore, but Mr. Hooper thinks it's just the right height. He rewards Big Bird with a free ice cream soda, complimenting him by saying, "You're better than a one-man band!"

• Big Bird's voice is slightly higher and more excitable in this episode, signifying a change in which Caroll Spinney begins to lose the less-dopey personality that the character initially had and gravitating to a more childlike one.
