This album, first released on CD and cassette in 1998, is the soundtrack to the Elmopalooza TV special. The special and soundtrack commemorate Sesame Street's 30th anniversary.
The album was reissued by Koch Records in 2008. The re-released album included the same track listing; however, it featured new cover art and a CD booklet containing the lyrics.
The album peaked at #166 on Billboard’s 200 albums chart on May 2, 1998. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children in 1999.
