Dave Gantz (1922-2007) was a cartoonist and illustrator who worked on several Sesame Street print projects, beginning in 1974.
Gantz began his career as a staff artist at Magazine Management (a company which would eventually become Marvel Comics) and then worked on the newspaper strips Dudley D. and Don Q., as well as illustrations for Mad Magazine. In 1997, he won the National Cartonists Society's Reuben award for his editorial strip Gantz Glances. He later wrote and illustrated the 2002 book Jews in America: A Cartoon History.
